Our training program is a four-year fully accredited program designed to train the next generation of leaders in our specialty. The hallmark of our department is the quality of its patient care services and teaching – and these two functions are among the highest priorities of the faculty. The program is designed to give each resident a structured clinical and didactic experience in primary care, obstetrics, gynecology, gynecologic-oncology, perinatology, reproductive endocrinology-infertility, and female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. The clinical experience mixes team care approaches with apprenticeship experiences. Our patient base includes all socioeconomic classes and a mix of patient funding sources including state, HMOs, managed care, and private indemnity plans. Our goals are to provide a problem-solving approach to postgraduate education and to strive to reach a good balance of clinical experience, education, and academic stimulation so that our graduates emerge as well-rounded obstetrician-gynecologists prepared to become physician leaders in their community or academic medicine. On behalf of the faculty, we welcome your application to this program and look forward to speaking with you in person.
